Estoy ansioso sobre la próxima temporada porque pulsamos el botón "reanudar".

Para el aspecto creativo, tenemos que entender que sólo terminamos un punto culminante gigantesco y entramos en un territorio desconocido. El Apocalipsis fue evitado. Por eso adelantamos unos años y vemos dónde los Winchesters están y cómo son sus vidas.

Yo no puedo ayudar, pero pensar en la escena final “The Hurt Locker” (2009 ganador de Oscar), cuando el personaje principal se ve delante de un estante con varias cajas de cereal y no sabe qué hacer. ¡El tipo desarma bombas en Iraq, pero está perdido en el supermercado! No es su realidad, justo como no ser un cazador le parece a un mundo diferente a Dean. Toda su vida fue dedicada a una sola tarea, casi como una esclavitud voluntaria, ahora es tiempo de estar enfrente del monstruo del verdadero mundo.

Esto es totalmente nuevo a mí, por la perspectiva interpretadora, y exploraré mucho más de la vida de Dean, por eso estoy tan ansioso. Una especie de tensión introspectiva, como monstruos interiores.

Of course we knew that "Supernatural" was coming back, but the big news there is that the show is moving to Fridays and will air alongside the tenth and final season of "Smallville." I don't think this is the end of the world, personally, though I fear fans might be freaking out about this. Frankly, I'm just glad "Supernatural" will be back. It's obviously a show that the CW likes having around, and the network was able to make a go of it with "Smallville" on Fridays, so the night appears to be a safe harbor for the Winchesters.

We've been having quite a debate in the comment section of my "Supernatural" Season 5 finale post about what the deal is with Sam Winchester, by the way. And people have also been worried that Misha Collins' character, Castiel, might not be back. Well, on the second question, it looks like you can put your mind at ease. Collins is listed as a series regular for Season 6 in the CW's press release, which is worth quoting in full, in regards to "Supernatural":

Returning for its sixth season, this haunting series follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers bound by tragedy and blood to their dangerous, other-worldly mission. This past season, Dean and Sam faced their toughest foe yet: the Devil himself. That seems to be the scenario that a fair number of us had been discussing on the "Supernatural" finale post. So Sam did escape from Hell, but "nothing is what it seems." Is he a ghost? Has he been changed? If so, how is he different? And how long has Dean been living a normal, "apple pie" life before the two brothers meet up again? All interesting questions to ponder this summer.

I really hope Season 6 focuses on the brothers' relationship, and it sounds like it will. That the aspect of the show that really pulled me in during Season 4, and with executive producer Sera Gamble as day-to-day showrunner, I think this has a lot of potential (she's written a lot of really good brother-focused episodes over the years).

However I wonder if the premise for Season 6 sounds a bit like the vague premise for Season 3, which many fans agree had some terrific high points but not much thematic unity or narrative drive (yes, there were overarching ideas -- demons running loose and the likelihood of Dean going to Hell -- but on the whole those ideas didn't really inform the season in a consistent way).

In Season 5, the show bit off a bit more than it could chew with the Apocalypse, and it's cool that Season 6 sounds a bit like a "back to basics" season, but the show always works best when there's a larger storytelling engine underpinning individual episodes. "A season of mystery and shadow" could be cool and atmospheric if there's a goal the brothers and Cas are working toward. If it's just them going around and fighting random demons... well, I'm putting my faith in the show and in the idea that there will be more to it than that.

On Friday, two rock solid hits, SMALLVILLE and SUPERNATURAL, reunite for a great two-hour block. In its explosive tenth and final season, SMALLVILLE will remain in the 8:00-9:00 p.m. timeslot, where it gave the CW its best numbers ever in the time period with scripted programming last year. The series will bring Clark Kent’s epic journey to a conclusion worthy of a superhero. In the 9:00-10:00 p.m. hour, the Winchester Brothers continue their heroic battle to ensure that good triumphs over evil, no matter what the personal cost may be to the brothers themselves. Last season, SUPERNATURAL’s ratings were up year-to-year with women 18-49.

ha sido todo un golpe de emociones la quinta temporada, espero que realmente siga con el nivel que ha tenido hasta ahora. Today the CW announced its fall plans, including moving Supernatural to Fridays at 9pm for season 6. Along with the schedule came a brief summary about Supernatural season 6, and it might contain spoilers about what and who we'll see.

What Can We Learn?

Sam is Back: According to the press release, Sam escaped from Hell, which explains how he showed up at the end of season 5, though we still don't know how he escaped.

The Angels Aren't Done: Despite the end of the Apocalypse, the press release refers to the chaos left in Heaven and Hell as well as the angels and demons roaming the world. In other words, the show isn't just going to drop all of the religious mythology they've built up.

Castiel Is Back: It has to be taken with a grain of salt, but according to the CW, Misha Collins is still listed as a series regular for season 6, so Castiel will be back for more action!

All About the Relationship: As usual, the most important thing about this press release is the statement that their relationship isn't what it used to be. Once again, the focus of this season will be the sibling dynamic of Sam and Dean.

Nothing Is What It Seems: This is one of those very strange lines at the end of the press release that makes me think there's a big twist in store. Is it really Sam who came back? Since season 5 allegedly ended creator Eric Kripke's five-year plan, it's up to new showrunner Sera Gamble to start a whole new story arc, which could be anything.

I'm still reeling from Supernatural's awesome series fifth-season finale "Swan Song," with its open-ended questions, disappearing prophets, and domesticated Dean, but it's never too early to get ready for next season. Okay, I guess this is a bit early since it's only May.


But The CW has business to conduct, and as such, released a general synopsis of what to expect from the Eric Kripke-less (he'll have some creative input but won't oversee day-to-day operations) Season 6.


Here's the overview, straight from the network (contains spoilers, but nothing that bad): "Returning for its sixth season, this haunting series follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers bound by tragedy and blood to their dangerous, other-worldly mission. Well of course Sam was going to get out of Hell. Sounds like a return to business as usual for the Winchester brothers, and a flip-flop of the pilot where Dean pulled Sam into hunting. Will Mark Pellegrino be back as Lucifer? Will we see another season of Sam and Dean bickering and arguing with each other? Will Castiel be able to get Heaven in order? Season 6 will belong to longtime executive producer and lover of gore Sera Gamble, so will it be bloodier than most?


In other news, Gamble came out of hiding and spoke to sci-fi blog io9 about the Season 5 finale. Gamble said, "We knew we were returning for another season well before Eric [Kripke] sat down to write the finale. So, the episode you saw was the story he worked on from the beginning."


And of the "Is Chuck God?" question, she said, "I love a good God debate, so it's nice to hear we got one going this season. We purposely left a bit of room for interpretation."

According to actor Jim Beaver (via his Twitter feed), Supernatural begins shooting it's first episode tomorrow, with actor Jensen Ackles directing.

"In Vancouver. SPN season 6 starts tomorrow with episode 4 (!) w/Jensen Ackles directing. I WON'T tweet details, so don't ask! It's great!

We're doing #4 first because a director needs a week of prep b4 an episode, & Jensen can only get that week by going first."

* Hay una nueva mitología en esta temporada. Cielo, Tierra e Infierno están todos "en una confusión".
* Dean está retirado y "ha hecho todo lo posible para hacer una nueva vida para sí mismo. Pero Sam está misteriosamente fuera del Infierno. * Dean is retired and "has done his best to make a new life for himself. But Sam's mysteriously out of Hell. He'd love to leave Dean to live a peaceful life--God knows the guy earned it--but he's uncovered something very disturbing and has to pull his brother back into the hunt. And Dean finds the landscape is very different from the one he left."

"Tuve mucha suerte con un amigo que vive a una cuadra de su locación del set, y pasé 2 tardes vagando alrededor viéndolos filmar. También conseguí tocar el Impala, el cuál estaba sólo estacionado en la calle....increíble. Los mejores 2 días de mi vida. Es díficil de creer que Jensen es incluso más bello en realidad.
Además vi a Azazel paseando, ¡qué sorpresa!

Ellos estaban filmando el estreno de temporada, y de lo que yo podría decir, Sam fue él mismo y por alguna razón maneja un Charguer... y tiene algún tipo de un emocional adiós/despedida con Dean fuera de la casa de Lisa. Hubo además un auto rojo Challenger estacionado abajo de la calle que ellos estaban usando.

Y Azaael está de vuelta, presumiblemente no en un flashback, pero podría equivocarme".

(Estacionado en la calle ¡donde vive mi amigo! Había un tipo en un auto frente de eso mirándolo la noche entera...que trabajo más aburrido)

Pienso que la mayoría de sus filmaciones fueron de noche, pero no me quedé tarde, además no habría obtenido muchas buenas fotos en la noche.

Ellos tuvieron una "espeluznante" neblina cada noche.

Oh y para aclarar alguna confución, fue Sam y Dean tendiendo un poco de un emotivo adiós. No signica el tipo de adiós con lágrima y abrazándolo, sólo se vio como si no hubiese sido una despedida feliz...aunque Jared fue un total tontorrón después de cada toma y durante el ensayo asi que tal vez no fue gran cosa".
